All plants are grown in a large 1.5 litre square pots and come complete with 12-14 months release Osmocote Plus. They should require no supplementary feeding until the following year.
MINIMUM MAIL ORDER
There is a minimum brder of £30 plant value (excluding P&P). The website will not be able to process any orders below this, however you are welcome to collect any quantity of plants from the nursery if pre-ordered by telephone or e-mail.
POST AND PACKING CHARGES (ALSTROEMERIA & IRIS)
P&P is £9.95 for orders up to £99.99 and is reduced to £4.95 for orders of £100 and over. Highlands of Scotland, Isles of Scilly and Isle of Man will be calculated at an additional 100% P&P. We apologise for the additional charge, but this reflects the cost to us for these areas.
Northern Ireland and the Channel Isles are now classed as International Post, so please do not send any money with your order - we will send you a quotation. However, we can usually quote you favourable rates for these destinations.
We can send plants to most International destinations - please ask us for an approximate carriage quote. For example, sending about 20 large 2 litre plants to France, Netherlands or Belgium will cost around £35 for postage and packing.
We take great care in selecting and packing our plants and we would be grateful if you could let us know the condition in which your plants arrive. This enables us to monitor our couriers to ensure that they take as much care of our plants as we do!
YOU CAN ORDER IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS
Using the secure on-line ordering facility:
You can look at all of the plants that I sell by clicking on View Catalogue at the top of the page. Simply click on ‘Order’ underneath the required plant description and you will be connected to the secure server. Type in the quantity you require - if you would like more than one you will need to click on ‘recalculate’ to adjust the running total, or if you are ordering quantities of several plants you may do this at the end to give you the final total. You can then choose whether to go back to the catalogue to look at more plants, or to send off your order.
At any time you can click on the button at the bottom of the screen View Order to see what you have ordered so far. When your order is complete, you will be transferred to the Worldpay Secure Card processing website.
Someone will generally be in the nursery during working hours to receive your order or answer any queries you may have. If you get our answerphone please do leave your contact details as we won't be far away and will return your call as soon as we can.
If you prefer to post your order we are happy to receive a cheque made out to Viv Marsh Postal Plants- but please do not fill in the final amount. For instance, if your order is for £89.50, please write NOT TO EXCEED NINETY POUNDS on your cheque, that way we can reduce the cheque if we are out of stock or any items.
However you contact us, please leave us a telephone number where we can reach you either during the day or in the evening, in case we need to check any details with you.
We will send out orders approximately every 2 weeks, at the beginning of the week so that they are ready to be unpacked before the weekend. In winter months you will be notified of an approximate despatch date, depending on weather conditions. Delivery will be by Parcelforce 24 hour service for most areas, an extra day for more remote areas.
We aim to send your order off to you within 2 weeks of receiving it and we will acknowledge your order by e-mail or telephone normally within 7 days of receipt. If there are any problems we will contact you to let you know.
Although we make every effort to have all listed plants available, it is possible that we may only have small quantities of some varieties available. It is not our policy to substitute plants unless you have expressed a preference for this. Please indicate on the order form if you would like us to substitute out of stock plants.
OFFICE WORKING HOURS
We are a working nursery, and there will be times when no-one is in the office. If we are not available, we operate an answerphone service, and we will get back in touch with you as soon as possible. Please do leave a message, as we usually pop into the office regularly throughout the day.
Our plants are in good condition when they are despatched to you - when you receive them please follow the instructions below to ensure that they remain healthy and give you pleasure for many years to come:
Please check the contents of your parcel against your invoice.
Unpack your order straight away and plant when weather permits.
If the soil is frozen or very wet, plants will live happily with frost protection under glass, watered sparingly until conditions improve.
Some plants will be sent out when they are dormant - you may like to carefully knock them out of the pot to reassure yourself that there is a plant there!
When planting, dig a hole much larger than the pot and fill around the plant with loose soil. Water in well.
Please notify us within 7 days if there are any problems with your delivery. We are constantly striving to improve our service to our customers, and would be grateful for any comments you wish to make.
